CSPA
OBJECTIVES:
The CSPA
conference series is dedicated to promoting the practice of science
in general, and computer science in particular, in the Arabic
language.
At a
time when all modern languages evolve through a constant flow of
linguistic material from the scientific field to the technical field
to everyday practice, we need to create and maintain this flow for
Arabic language. Thus, the CSPA would be a mean of development of
intense cooperation between domain experts, linguists, translation
experts and all Arabic “key” users to initiate the flow.
Our
ultimate goals are:
o To
make Arabic an adequate medium for scientific communication, and, in
time, scientific discovery.
o To
make the Arabic content and “consumption” grow in parallel of the
Arabic culture growth.
SINCE
2003:
CSPA 2009
RABAT
is
the fifth conference in the CSPA series: The first conference was
held in Tunis, Tunisia, in July 2003; the second was held in Cairo,
Egypt, in January 2005; the third was held in Sharjah, Dubai, in
March 2006; and the forth was held in Doha, Qatar in April 2008; the
proceedings of these conferences are published by Phillips
Publishing
(www.phillips-publishing.com). This series has met with increasing success, in terms of attendance,
submissions, and impact.
CSPA09
RABAT
The goal of CSPA 2009 is to build on the success of previous
conferences to:
o keep increasing scientific publishing in
Arabic,
o Integrate round tables about Arabic and computer science.
Specifically, we wish to provide an opportunity for, both, computer
science and Arabic scholars, researchers, educators and
practitioners to expose their ideas, opinions and research results,
and discuss objectives and axes of cooperation.
